Hard surface industrial floorings

Services provided by our company in this field, are hard surface concrete floorings hardened with the use of a DST system. Thanks to special technological processes, they can meet all, even the most demanding requirements of today’s industrial building.
During the production of hard surface industrial floorings, we use hardeners of different systems, e.g.: Bautech, Sica, Panbex, Meladur, and of other companies.
Such a flooring is characterised by a greater shock strength, resistance to wearing down, the penetration of oils, lack of dust emitting, and, depending on the technology used, ( chosen according to the needs of the order) by many other qualities.
The applicability of hard surface floorings is extremely wide. They are laid in such environments, as:

  • warehouses,

  • production halls,

  • garages and car parks,

  • machine shops,

  • department stores,

  • cold stores,

  • foundries, and the alike.

Hard surface concrete floorings, hardened using the DST system, due to the materials applied, technology of its processing, and the time needed for its processing and the time after which they can be exploited, are among the cheapest solutions.

Description of a typical processing of a hard surface concrete flooring

Base
The base for concrete flooring is usually a base layer, and a concrete underlayment from a lean concrete, brand B-10. The base under the flooring is made with extreme accuracy and precision, taking care of the appropriate density. The thickness of the layer of lean concrete B-10 or B-15 depends upon the load, but should not be thinner than 10 cm. Good workmanship of those layers guarantees the exact working conditions of the main board, ant their equality corresponds to the essential thickness of the load- bearing board. It guarantees an optimal use of the concrete mass of the main board.


Hard surface flooring. Floorings made by us are known as „floating floorings”, as they are separated from the base by a layer of mylar. It is used with the aim of reducing friction between the flooring and the base. If there is a need to lay a vertical thermal insulation, we use a layer of polystyrene foam FS 30 or higher value. The whole board must be dilatated from all vertical elements of the room’s construction. On such prepared base, we lay concrete reinforced with steel fibre, sometimes also polypropylene, or with a traditional method, that is frame steel grid. The amount and method of reinforcements arise from requirements of the flooring. The top of concrete floorings is hardened with special hardeners and is power floated. Various hardeners are used, dependent of the purpose.


Impregnation
After power floating of the surface of the flooring, an acrylic resin solution is sprayed using a manual spaying machine. A thin layer is created, protecting against a rapid loss of water essential in the process of concrete trussing. The aim of the impregnation is to achieve certain other advantages:

  • protecting concrete

  • hardening concrete

  • eliminating dust emission of the flooring

  • increasing the endurance of the surface

  • increasing endurance to chemicals

Dilatations
Anti- shrinkage expansion joints, are made in fresh concrete (24- 72 hours from the moment of laying concrete) with the use of a diamond saw. Next, after about 1 month from the workmanship of the flooring, an elastic chemically resistant rope is placed in the expansion joints, the walls of the joints are covered in priming preparation and afterwards, we fill them in with the two- component PU dilatation mass.
